Orinoco Vase

Orinoco Vase

DESIGNED BY Masanori Umeda
FOR Memphis Milano

Masanori Umeda plays with forms in Orinoco, a bizarre ceramic vase with a white stem and blue spheres at the base. Spheres also connect the borders of Parana, the ceramic fruit holder shaped and painted by hand. The Japanese designer chose the names of two of the biggest rivers in Latin America for this ironic experimentation on the combination of shapes, including the creative linkage of the vertices of a triangle.
