10 Bureau de la Semaine à Paris Pro Desk

DESIGNED BY Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand
FOR Cassina

The Table dalle polie table by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand, showcased at the Salon d’Automne in 1929, underwent a series of modifications for the office of the director of the French weekly publication: La Semaine à Paris.

Charlotte Perriand added a metal file cabinet on the side and enlarged the projecting sheet of glass, carving out a small space for pencils and pens.

INFO

In re-editing this desk, Cassina worked closely with the Fondation Le Corbusier, Pernette Perriand-Barsac and the heirs of Pierre Jeanneret, maintaining the utmost respect for its authenticity, while evolving the design to meet the needs of today’s offices by inserting a power compartment in the metal file cabinet for integrated power access and a USB port. Cables are introduced through an underside cable slot and exit on the outside of the cabinet.
